SHERRY A. WELLS ON WHY REPAIRING THE ENVIRONMENT IS SO MUCH MORE THAN GOING GREEN.

State Rep candidate knows it doesn't matter what

In a time of unease with the climate, between the numbers of hurricanes gradually increasing to the temperatures in record-setting numbers, it is more important than ever to work on repairing the damage the larger corporations have done.  The small worldwide quarantines proved to us repair is possible, but it’ll take far more than the everyday person recycling.

Sherry Wells wants to push for companies to change the ways they operate and bring jobs to Michigan in doing so.  “Technologies such as solar and wind farms and geothermal energy can bring green jobs to the 27th District”

While she “...led tree planting at Grant School in Royal Oak township in the ’80s...”, Sherry realizes that just recycling or planting trees is no longer enough.   No longer the task for the people, this has to be mandated on a corporate level, and they need to be held responsible.

Sherry would want to see more protections for the Great Lakes, and a decommission of Line 5.  She would also back legislation to finally fix Flint's water and get the community the economic and social support it needs for the last 6 years.

Comparatively, there isn’t a more pressing issue than environmental change, for it won’t matter which side of the aisle you're on when the world is on fire.
